Naturally Gifted Singers: Do You Have Natural Singing Ability?

Some students may compare themselves to other untrained singers and feel discouraged and wonder whether they possess the natural ability to sing well. I find that naturally gifted singers often have an added challenge when it comes to training their voice because they are accustomed to singing coming easily.

As a result, when they encounter areas of vocal training that doesn’t come easily, very often they are unable or unwilling to put in the amount of effort to develop their voice to a professional level. Hard work and a strong work ethic often produce results that far exceed that of natural talent. This video discusses what’s required for vocal development in both the naturally gifted or not so naturally gifted singer.
