Choosing Cover Songs
Searching Youtube for cover videos will deliver a lot of great performances. Many terrific and interesting versions of covers have been done. The key to creating a really great and successful cover, is to find a song you can make your own. We already have the original versions done by the artists and they sound great, so who needs another exact replica of Ed Sheeran or Demi Lovato? Even though you may be able to perform their song really well, what you are looking for in a cover is a song that you can feel an emotional connection with that will allow you to express you unique style and your individuality. That’s what make a great cover and builds a following.
